Teamwork

We make a good team. As I watch Ryan (he does all the hard work since I’m no longer able to) I’m reminded of the above quote. When we’re old, we have the knowledge, but not the energy. And when we’re young, even though we think we have both, hindsight tells us we were wrong.

Carpet cleaning is hard work; both physically and mentally. I’m glad Ryan is around to do the heavy work; lug 150 pound portables around and push a wand for 8 hours. And, I’m sure he’s glad I’m around to help with the marketing and sales. When building your business, make sure you build a team that compliments one another. I think all too often, we’re tempted to hire people we like, not people that will make us better. Find someone that has strengths in the areas you are weak in.
